The Southern California Motorcycling Association offer a USA Four Corners Tour – which is a challenge issued to riders to visit and document their arrival at the four corners of the USA. The points designated to be the Four Corners are:

  1. Madawaska, Maine.
  2. Blaine, Washington.
  3. San Ysidro, California.
  4. Key West, Florida.

You can visit these corners starting wherever you like, and don’t have to re-visit your first point again. We started our ride in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and first went to the North East. We incorporated the IBA’s Trans Canada ride within our Four Corners effort. This required starting in Halifax and ending the Trans Canada ride in Vancouver. After leaving Halifax, we then visited our first Four Corner point in Madawaska by crossing back over the border into the USA – We checked with the IBA that this was OK before doing so, and since we were crossing straight back over into Canada again, there was no advantage gained through this quick visit back into the USA.

Our SpotWalla Trip for this ride is here, showing the following photos embedded at the points where they were taken: https://spotwalla.com/trip/6270-566d6c-545b/view

The photos shown here on this page are clickable, and provide the full, highest resolution versions available, those stored within SpotWalla are always slightly lower resolution than these originals.

Madawasaka

Continuing on through Canada, we rode over to Vancouver from Halifax in just under 90 hours, then positioned ourselves near the USA border for an early morning border crossing the next day.

BLAINE

We visited the Post Office in Blaine and documented our stop with another fuel receipt:

From Blaine, we visited some friends around the Seattle area, then rode a SaddleSore down to Ojai to catch a Los Lonely Boys concert, then continued on to San Ysidro for our third corner.

San Ysidro

We stopped at the San Ysidro post office for our Corner visit:

From California, we headed East across the USA, crossing deserts in California, through to Monument Valley, Texas, stopping in New Orleans, LA for an evening out, then continuing into Florida and down the Keys to Key West.

KEY WEST

At Key West we visited the Southern Most Point landmark, and the documented our stop there with a receipt for Key Lime Pie. It was yum!.

This is a great ride, can be customised to whatever you want to do along the way, it comes with some excellent quality swag. The SC-MA is a highly organised group and easy to work with, I’d highly recommend this to anyone who’s looking for something to do over a couple of weeks.
